When asked if they could turn the game up we were told No. It's a bar - who would have thought that the game would be on with NO sound.
The food wasn't great either. If we hadn't already ordered food before the game came on we wouldn't have. Unless you want to go to a bar with the logo "Eat, Play and Be Happy" that doesn't fullfill I wouldn't waste your time.
Covid 19 safety procedures were used to make our stay as stress free as possible. Hotel felt safe. They used every measure to sanitize the rooms, lobby, swimming pool area, and dining room.
The food was amazing. The entire staff made every attempt to make our stay a pleasant one. Our housekeeper Janet was fabulous. This hotel will be our go to staycation spot from here on out. The property must be new as it was spotless, fresh and well appointed. Chris was awesome. Helped with the fact there was no remote, was apologetic when I told him about the open bag of chips i found in night stand.
Educated me on how to get the light working in room. The hotel was being remodeled. Breakfast was moved. Food was gross. Beds were very worn and broken down. Had problems with the tv and ptac unit. I would never stay here again. The location was great. In a private, quiet area but close enough to all attractions and what I would consider "downtown". This was our first trip to Evansville and we will be back!
Check in was fast and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable and more than adequate for our needs. Cavanaughs restaurant was a huge hit and highly recommend. The staff was great. They were very friendly and welcoming. I like the location of the hotel, in town and near everything. The location was the best this hotel had to offer.
